2018 Euclid Panther Summer Swim Team Coaches

Bryan Scheider, Head Coach:  Coach Bryan is in his second year as the head coach for the Panthers.  He has been coaching on and off for the last 16 years at every level from 4 year olds through College Division 3.  He was a member of the Cleveland State swim team in college and currently coaches Notre Dame Cathedral Latin as well as Villa Angela -  St. Joseph during the winter, and teaches Physics at Wickliffe High School.  Coach Bryan has 2 sons that will be on the team very soon, and his wife of 13 years teaches swimming lessons for USC during the winter.


Amy Bush, Assistant Coach: Amy has been coaching competitive swimming for the past 19 years! Her career began in the SSL and it's great to come back and be coaching here at Euclid. Currently, she coaches (with Bryan) at NDCL. Prior to that Amy has coached at the Y in Painesville, Lake Catholic and Beachwood Bison Swim Club. Outside the pool She am an X-Ray Tech with Lake Health and a water fitness instructor with the Y. Amy has two lazy cats and a very hyper dog.

Danny Essel, Assistant Coach: Coach Danny swam competitively for 18 years. 10 of those with the Panthers and the other 8 split between high school and college. This will be his 6th year as a coach for the Panthers. Danny currently works as a help-desk support technician for Cornerstone IT, but still enjoys coaching in his free time

Maura Delaney, Assistant Coach: Maura has been swimming for 12 years and will continue for at least 4 more swimming for Ashland University. There, she will study International Political Studies. She specialized in sprint freestyle and butterfly in high school at Notre Dame - Cathedral Latin. Maura's favorite thing about coaching is finding ways to challenge others the same way she likes to be challenged. As an occupation, Maura is an assembly technician at Jergens. Maura's favorite food is black coffee. In her free time she likes to contemplate world issues, read, and watch Netflix documentaries

Sam Lisy, Assistant Coach: Sam was a competitive swimmer for sixteen years and began her career on the Panther Swim Team. She specialized in the IM and butterfly until she finished her swimming career as a captain of the Indiana University Swim Team. While at IU, she was a four-year Big Ten Championship finalist and swam at the 2016 Olympic Trials. She is excited to return to coaching the Panthers before heading off to Nashville in the fall for a PhD program at Vanderbilt University in biochemistry.


Jessica Lisy, Assistant Coach: Jessica Lisy has been swimming since she was 6 years old until her junior year of high school.  She swam for the Euclid Panthers and the Euclid Marlins.  She was also a part of the High School team that won LEL's 2 years in a row.  Her plans for the fall include attending DePAul University and majoring in film production and directing.
